During my mid site evaluation, I presented an 80-year-old male who presented complaining of left sided chest pain that had been going on for 3 days. When I was presenting this case, I felt very comfortable because I had interviewed the patient thoroughly and went over the case with one of the PAs in the internal medicine department. During my presentation I outlined different tests I would order or that were already ordered such as a CBC, BMP, cardiac enzymes, and d-dimer. I also talked about my various differentials and which I thought was most likely to be his diagnosis. For my final site evaluation, I presented a 60-year-old patient who had difficulty speaking for the past 3 days. I decided to present this case because it was very interesting to see a patient presenting with stroke like symptoms. When presenting I discussed the various test I would order and why such as LFTs, CBC, BMP, coags, thyroid panel, and lipid panel. I also discussed the various imaging studies that I would order such as head CT and CTA as well as what I would be looking for.
