Self Reflection on Rotation 3 Emergency Medicine
I really enjoyed my emergency medicine rotation at New York Presbyterian Queens, and I feel like I got a lot of hands-on experience here. At this rotation the shift in the emergency department were split into different sections such as pediatrics, fast track, and the main emergency department. The pediatric emergency department was like the one on my pediatric rotation and I felt very familiar and comfortable in this environment. When I was scheduled in the fast-track section, I found that it was very similar to urgent care and I was able to do a lot of procedures such as vaginal …

Site Evaluation Presentation Summary Rotation 3
During my mid site evaluation, I presented a 55-year-old male with a past medial history of diabetes who was presenting with two days of abdominal pain. When I was presenting this case, I felt confident because I made sure to do research beforehand on the possible etiologies of abdominal pain in a diabetic. Self Reflection on Rotation 2 Pediatrics
I really enjoyed my pediatrics rotation at Queens Hospital Center, and I feel like I learned a lot on this rotation. For the first three weeks of my rotation, I was stationed in the pediatric emergency department. Here I got to do things such as place IV’s, venipunctures, and even bedside ultrasound. The providers I worked with in this department were very friendly and helpful when it came to answering my questions and overall making a welcoming environment. For my fourth week I was in the pediatrics clinic, this part of my rotation was less hands on and more observatory. …
